On The Importance of Diligence for People’s Growth
As is known to all, every man has to strive for a decent life by working hard. Nevertheless, the life of a lazy man is of no use to either himself or others. What’s worse, the man who is too lazy to work is more likely to beg or steal. Therefore, everyone should be diligent regardless of age, gender and family background.
From my point of view, diligence is of great significance in one’s life and career. There are some reasons as follows. Firstly, industrious spirit is an indispensable quality that makes a person stand out, as most people are biologically endowed with similar level of IQs, except that only a few are very outstanding or low. Secondly, diligence makes for accomplishments while laziness always results in failure. An idle man indulging himself in the comfort zone is doomed to achieve nothing. Lastly, diligence helps remove ignorance, overcome difficulties and enlighten mind, which are the major premises of success.
In a word, I hold the view that diligence is crucial to one’s life. A person must study hard when he is young so that he may make great progress and succeed in life. Therefore, we say that diligence is the vital ingredient for one’s growth.
勤奋对人们进步的重要性
人们都知道， 每个人都得需要通过努力工作以求一个体面的生活。否则，一个懒人对它自己和别人都是没有用的。 更为糟糕的是，太懒的人去工作更容易发生乞讨或偷盗行为。因此，无论你年龄，性别，家庭背景如何，每个人都该勤奋工作。
我认为，在人的生活和职业生涯中，勤奋极为重要。原因如下：首先，勤奋精神是让一个人能独挡一面不可或缺的品质，大多数人都有着差不多水平的IQ值，除了极少数会很高或很低。第二，勤奋能助力成功而懒惰总是导致失败。一个懒汉沉迷于自己的舒适区注定要一事无成。最后，勤奋能帮助我们去除无知，克服困难和使自己心灵开悟，而这些都是成功的主要基石。
一名话说，我认为勤奋在人的一生中极为重要。当一个人年轻的时候必须刻苦，只有这样他才能在生活中作出巨大的进步和成功。因此，我们说勤奋对一人的成长来说是一个相当重要的因素。
Wisdom in the Mind Better than Money in the Hand
The human history has witnessed a constant pursuit of wisdom. Despite various interpretations of wisdom offered by different people, we all reach a consensus that wisdom in the mind is better than money in the hand. For me, wisdom rests on persistent thinking.
As far as I am concerned, there are three methods helping us to be wise. To start with, reading makes a full man and brings knowledge to us. With diverse thoughts and admirable wisdom of ancient talents, books are human’s permanent friends, accompanied by which people can learn to be wise. Furthermore, individuals are supposed to learn from failure, the mother of success. The lessons from experiences of failure contribute to the ultimate wisdom. Last but not least, people should possess enough time to reflect upon themselves. Enjoying absolute solitude for a moment, we can easily attain a better understanding of ourselves.
In short, wisdom outweighs money so much that it is imperative for us to gain wisdom. With wisdom in the mind, I suppose it is not hard to have money in the hand.
智慧胜过金钱
人类历史见证了不断追求智慧的历史。尽管不同的人对智慧会有不同的解释，我们都得出了一个结论，在心中的智慧比在手中的钱更好。对我来说，智慧在于坚持不懈的思考。
就我而言，有三个方法能让我们变得智慧起来。首先，阅读使人充实，给我们带来了知识。书籍是人们永远的朋友，有着丰富的思想和和古代才人的智慧，伴随书籍能使人们学到如何变得智慧。更进一步，一个个体能从失败中学习，失败是成功之母。失败的经历吸取教训能给我们带来最终的智慧。最后，人们应该保留足够的时间去做自省。享受片刻绝对的孤独，我们能更好的了解自己。
简短的说，智慧比金钱更重要，对我们来说获取智慧势在必行。有了心中的智慧，我认为获取金钱也就不难了。
Respect Yourself
As human beings, we all crave the respect from others, which is coded in our DNA . However, it has been proved that only when you look up to yourself first can you win other’ respect. That’s why we say “A man can’t ride your back unless it’s bent.”
Respecting ourselves if of great significance in our daily life. To begin with, self-respect is an indispensable quality if you want to achieve success in whatever you do. Respecting your knowledge and opinions will bring you confidence and pride. Moreover, self-respect lays the foundation of winning the support from others. We can not imagine how we expect others to think highly of us we lose our sense of self-worth.
From what has been discussed above, we can draw the conclusion that we all should seize every chance to gain more self-respect in our life. What’s more, once we learn to respect ourselves, it will become much easier to earn others’ respect.
尊重自我
作为人类，我们都渴望得到其它人的尊重，这是刻在我们DNA里的。然而，已经被证明只有当我们首先仰望自己的时候，你才能赢得别人的尊重。这也是为什么我们说“没人能使你折腰，除非它本来就是弯的。”
尊重我们自己在我们的日常生活中极为重要。首先，无论你做什么，尊重自我都是你想获得成功不可缺少的品质。尊重你自己的知识的建议将给你带来自信和自豪。还有，尊重自我是能赢得别人尊重的基石。我们无法想象当我们失去自我价值感时，我们如何期望别人对我们评价很高。
从上面我们所讨论中，我们可以得出结论，在生活中我们都应该抓住每一个机会去获取自尊。更为重要的是，一旦我们学会了如何尊重自我，也就很容易得到别人的尊重了。
